We are very lucky to have been awarded another grant from MBNA to continue our Respect theme at Cascade Brook School. This year's program is called "Reflection on Respect II." During the summer, Ms. Arnold, our school counselor, and Mrs. Flint, our school librarian, developed the program and wrote a grant for this year. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication.
Our students will be participating in a second year of Experiential Learning. The students in Grade 5 will have a day experience. Grade 6 will have a two day experience with an overnight. The program will include games, initiatives, and challenges for students and staff. They will learn new skills in responsibility, cooperation, listening, decision-making, and problem-solving with the final goal of RESPECT for all. The dates for the Camp Susan Curtis visit are October 11th-13th. You will be receiving more information about the program later this month.
The skills learned through these activities will be continued throughout our school year. For more information click on the links page.
